Dear Colleagues,

Points of Interest:

1. "W coding" or "Wait Listing" for the WHEG-Technical College grant was implemented on September 4, 2003.

2. "W coding" or "Wait Listing" for Tuition Grant was implemented on August 27th, 2003.

3. As a reminder - the only way to update the HEAB record when a selective service issue has been resolved is to submit a change via the HEAB file maintenance template.

4. Technology update - All of our notification lists, error reports, and graduate non-resident reports are available electronically. This includes Academic Excellence. If you have any concerns please feel to contact Barb Moermond at (608) 266-3091 or Barbara.moermond@heab.state.wi.us.

2003-04

1. 2003-04 notification lists and other associated reports are scheduled to run October 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.

2. 2003-04 award commit and spent for TIP, WHEG, and WTG as of September 30th are as follows:

   TIP Award Commit	=	118.97%	(last year at this time it was 112.94%)
   TIP Spent	=	35.58%	(last year at this time it was 31.58%)
   UW WHEG Award Commit	=	129.03%	(last year at this time it was 121.79%)
   UW WHEG Spent	=	45.28%	(last year at this time it was 41.20%)
   WTC WHEG Award Commit	=	167.53%	(last year at this time it was 163.47%)
   WTC WHEG Spent	=	45.17%	(last year at this time it was 43.36%)
   WTG Award Commit	=	113.65%	(last year at this time it was 115.71%)
   WTG Spent	=	45.41%	(last year at this time it was 36.51%)

3. TIP nomination forms should be sent to John Whitt.

4. File maintenance is being accepted for the following items only:
   Professional Judgement changes
   Special Tuition
   Selective Service changes
   Special Circumstances
   Deletes
   If you have a situation that you believe is a special circumstance, please contact the program coordinator. All other changes must by made by submitting information to the federal processor.
