ELECTRONIC TRANSFER OF FUNDS - IN TEST PHASE Here is what to expect:
HEAB is working with the Department of Administration to complete the testing of the Electronic
Transfer of Funds. We have many, many routing and bank account numbers, and we have to ensure that
all money is routed to the correct bank and account.
WHEG Maximum Bill passed through Legislature - on way to Governor
The bill allowing a $3000 WHEG max is through both houses of the legislature and on to the
Governor’s office. This was a great effort with lobbying from Madison and throughout the state.
Financial aid officers contacted legislators, Susan Fisher and Jane Hojan-Clark both testified and
brought students to testify, UW System Administration and United Student Council put forth great
effort, and the Governor’s office was terrific. Senators Sheila Harsdorf and Spencer Coggs, as well
as Representatives Joan Ballweg and Louis Molepske authored the legislation. Senator Harsdorf and
Representative Ballweg were also instrumental in shepherding this bill quickly through both houses.
Thanks to all of you, and please re-contact your legislators to thank them for their support!!!
