There are 2 major changes on the Notification List for 2005-06:

1. The semester spent column for each of the grant programs now shows the actual total number of semesters spent instead of just 9 or 10 semesters.
2. The number of semesters spent for WHEG and WTG have been added together into a single column.

WELCOME TO NEW HEAB STAFF MEMBER
Michelle Massen has been hired as an Office Management Specialist, filling a position that has been vacant since February, 2004. Michelle spent many years in the College of Letters and Science Dean’s Office at the University of Wisconsin Madison, and began work at HEAB on May 2. Michelle is a great addition to our staff.

RETURN OF FUNDS POLICY
The WASFAA State Issues Committee worked with Connie Hutchison on the HEAB Return of Funds Policy while at the WASFAA Conference. There will be very little change to the current policy other than that it will be rewritten to clarify the intent and extent. The proposed changes will be presented to the HEAB Board for possible action at the July meeting. Please address refunds to Nancy Wilkison, or mention on the outside of the envelope that this is a refund.
Money is very tight and processing refunds in a timely manner is important. When returning funds, please include the following:

Student first and last name
Student’s SSN
Disbursement Code (which program, i.e.; TIP, WHEG, TG, etc.)
Your 3 digit HEAB school code
Academic year and semester of award being returned (Or HEAB voucher number)
Check number and date of check being sent back to HEAB (Not the # and date of original award check unless it’s the same check being sent back.)
