The Monthly Memo
June, 2005
LEGISLATIVE UPDATE Joint Finance appropriated $3,426,000 less than the Governor proposed for 05-06 WHEG-UW. They
also eliminated the ability to award over $2500.
For 05-06 WHEG - Tech, Joint Finance appropriated $642,400 more than the Governor proposed.
For 05-06 TG, Joint Finance appropriated $956,200 more than the Governor proposed.
We do not know when the budget will be completed and signed. We will keep you posted.
Joint Finance significantly changed the appropriations for WHEG - UW, WHEG - Tech and TG. We will
most likely have to adjust all formulas. HOWEVER, we will wait until the budget is signed before
calling together the advisory committees to make formula changes. UW advisory committee will be
called upon before then to make decisions regarding current packaging.
